[Amazon Canada] $73.99 - Crucial BX300 240GB 3D NAND SATA 2.5 Inch Internal SSD - CT240BX300SSD1

Amazon, once again, drops the price for Crucial BX300 240GB 3D NAND SATA 2.5 Inch Internal SSD - CT240BX300SSD1. Now $73.99 for 240GB. History low price AFAIK. One day deal only.

Beats the $/GB Memory Express and Canada Computers $39.xx for 120GB SSD deals that came up recently.

850 Evo 250GB is 16% faster overall but has much faster random read (+41%) and peak read (+40%) according to SSD User Benchmark.
Fido - $40.5 4+2GB

How do these compare to the Kingston SSD drives?

I'm not a heavy user but I saw 120gb Kingston SSD for $50 on Amazon. Is it worth the extra $40 in this case for this deal??? The laptop I plan to upgrade is for light use (browsing, microsoft excel/ppt/word etc) at best. Thx

Is this be enough for a home office PC (no gaming) and somewhat future proof for new Win OS updates?
I'll keep the regular HDD for all media and non OS related programs.

i have a 120gb ssd in my laptop i use for similar tasks for a few years and it's fine (files stored on another computer / cloud)

having said that if it was me i would spend the extra $23 for more space as swapping HD's are a pain

dude, this one is double the space for 40% more money.

also from all the years of me reading and using technology stuff crucial is more reliable than Kinston for solid state drive.

I think these BX series has MLC instead of TLC.

Finally I bought my revo at 305$. Plus acer timelineX 3820T for 570$ and H340 for 230$. My home is full of Acer products, low price, medium quality but better life.

Just grabbed the warehouse deal at 68$!
Why, only saved another $5 but that’s not brand new.
