Dozen donuts at Tim Hortons $8.99???

Is this true? A friend of mine told me the other day that he grabbed a dozen and it cost a WHOPPING $8.99?!?! WTF????

How can such a product command such pricing? I actually went to their website to suss it out and while there was no pricing available it actually said something along the lines of, "the pricing being competitive with the current market?" For starters, they have NO real competition, and (2) everyone else makes better donuts than they do, IMO. I mean, while I cant remember the last time I ate a donut, I do remember Krispy Kreme being amazing, even those plain donuts they make. So while I can somehow understand the ridiculous prices that KK commands, how does TH get away with it???

Assuming my friend wasnt full of s*** and this post was all a no-pointer.

TOP SECRET SPAGHETTI…
Yeah I have been getting a large there which is now $1.95. The last time I had it a few years back it was only $1.60.

$8.99 is $0.75 a donut. It's not that expensive.

That's the case with everything. All products have been downsized.

I think Walmart and Safeway sell donuts for about 55-60 cents per donut if you're desperate for the cheaper option

Worst decision they made was to stop on-site donut prep; that was the beginning of the end for TH donuts. I very rarely eat donuts, but I would be willing to pay a fair price for a good quality one, made fresh not "thawed for my convenience".
